However, if you want to choose your own display text (such as "click here", for example) the links won't translate to PDF in the (usually less expensive) or free converters.

This is the best software that we found that maintains these links when converting to PDF. Another benefit of NitroPDF Pro is that it will convert your Word table of contents into a linked table in your final product. Also, NitroPDF Pro conveniently builds a tab in the Word 2007 menu for on the fly custom settings for easy document conversion.
